2009 Primal Quest Sprint Series Locations Announced
An update to the Primal Quest Sprint Series website has revealed the locations for future races in the adventure racing series that is about to launch it's inaugural season. In addition to the 2008 events, which will be held at Pocahontas State Park, in Chesterfield VA (May 10), Moraine State Park, Pittsburgh, PA (Sept. 6), and the US National Whitewater Center, Charlotte, NC (Oct. 4) the following states have been selected to host races in 2009:
•February: Florida
•April: Louisiana
•May: Virginia
•August: Connecticut
•September: Pennsylvania
•October: North Carolina
•November: Georgia
Exact dates and locations have yet to be announced, but as you can see, the Spring Series is getting off the ground very quickly, with events already being planned all over the country. These 4-6 hour events will pit teams of two against one another to not only claim wins at the individual races, but to gain points that will count toward the series as a whole. The top racer at the end of the season will gain entry into the 2010 Primal Quest Expedition Race as well.
With some great events planned for this year, and these races set for next, the PQSS is shaping up to be one of the premiere adventure race series in the country.
